Abby Field joined the lab in 2024, in her final year of Human Health and Disease. This course focuses on gaining a scientific understanding of the human body, the signs and symptoms of disease, and cutting edge therapeutics in treating disease. Abby completed her capstone research project in the McMackin lab, investigating the effects of anxiety/depression on the theory of mind using task-based EEG analysed in MATLAB. Abby's research interests include understanding the underlying mechanisms that contribute to neurodegenerative and neuropsychiatric disorders to guide possible interventions for treatment.Â
