Etain joined the lab in 2023, when she discovered her passion for neurodegenerative disorders research during her HRB-funded summer internship in the EXG Research Group, where she worked with other members to collect EEG data from people with Multiple Sclerosis. Driven by this experience, she chose to continue her final-year capstone project as a Neuroscience undergrad at Trinity College Dublin, within the McMackin Lab, researching the cognitive impacts of medication in Multiple Sclerosis by analysing the EEG data she assisted in gathering during her summer internship. Her commitment to contributing to the field of neuroscience reflects her genuine enthusiasm for advancing our understanding of neurological conditions.
