Karen holds an undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering from PSG College of Technology in India and an MSc. Biomedical Engineering at Trinity College Dublin. During her undergraduate years, she developed a strong passion for Image Processing and Signal Processing. During this time, she also assisted on a PhD thesis project that involved utilizing machine learning techniques in MATLAB for the classification of neurodegenerative diseases based on gait analysis. Karen joined the McMackin Lab in 2023/2024 to complete her Master's research, examining the impact of biological variables on transcranial magnetic stimulation measures of motor cortical networks. Her main research interest is Neural Signal Analysis.Â
